When you arrive at your merchant’s checkout and are ready to pay, select ‘Online Banking’ as your payment method, choose your bank, sign in to your account using your bank credentials, typically username and password, and follow the prompts to connect your bank account. That’s it!
Do I need to create an account with Trustly to pay via my bank account online?
No. Unlike other payment methods, consumers don't need to create an account to use the option to pay using your bank account sign in service provided via Trustly. All you need is a bank account set up with online banking.
Is it safe to use the Online Banking payment method?
Yes. Trustly’s Online Banking payment method leverages your bank's security infrastructure. In fact, when you use the Online Banking payment method, it's your bank that verifies your identity. If you change your password with your bank online, the next time you use the Online Banking payment method you may need to enter your new password.
How many banks does Trustly support? What if my bank is not currently supported?
Trustly supports most banks and financial institutions in the U.S. Currently, Trustly supports over 12,000 financial institutions globally with more being added on a regular basis.
To complete a transaction, customers must have online banking enabled with their personal bank accounts. Business bank accounts are not supported.
