Lucinda and Timothy described themselves as a "slow burn" during their Married at First Sight Australia journey. But in recent episodes – as season 11 airs on Channel 4 in the UK – viewers have started to see a bit more of a spark between them.
Tim and Lucinda are a MAFS couple that complemented each other, with Timothy, who struggles to open himself up after some difficult personal traumas, being matched with Lucinda's warm and patient energy.
But despite hitting things off nicely on their wedding day (even if the ceremony itself was one of the most dramatic thanks to a storm!), the pair seemed firmly in the friend zone for the first portion of the relationship experiment.
So much so that the experts would apply the pressure during commitment ceremonies, trying to ascertain whether they saw the potential for more.
The Couples Retreat was a turning point for Lucinda and Timothy. A group conversation became difficult for Timothy when it reminded him of his family loss, and it was Lucinda who provided some much-needed support and comfort.
She described how she'd seen a new side to Tim, who would usually struggle to open up and share his emotions. The pair seemed to bond over the moment, and appeared closer than ever before.
Timothy would go on to describe Lucinda as a "rock", and always spoke so highly of her and her positive outlook on life.
During one of the later dinner parties, which aired in the UK on April 11, Timothy became emotional at the dining table and excused himself for a private moment. He expressed that he felt he'd missed out because he had come into the MAFS experience so closed off, and that Lucinda had demonstrated a different way to navigate through life.
Lucinda joined him away from the rest of the group, telling him: "You've been holding so much in... I'm here for all this process".
There will be spoilers from this point onwards, as the UK broadcast of the Australian season is a little behind.
Are Lucinda and Timothy from MAFS Australia together now?
Final Vows are yet to air on Channel 4, but Timothy and Lucinda will sadly not make it as a couple to that point of the show.
Ultimately, their relationship came to a natural conclusion during Homestays Week.
"I think Melbourne broke us a bit," Lucinda explained (in an exclusive interview with 9Now). "It was just a combination of things, and I think we both realised, let's just call it a day."
Despite their exit, fans still seemed to be hoping for them to give things another go outside of MAFS.
At the season's reunion episode, Timothy and Lucinda were on good terms.
"I always said it wasn't the ending of something, but the beginning of something," he said.
But whether this referred to a friendship or a possible future relationship wasn't clear at that point.
Lucinda shared an emotional Instagram post, dedicated to Timothy and the journey that they shared on the show. It read:
"What I adore most about you Tim is your ability to bring laughter to those around you, even amidst your own pain and loss. Your bravery throughout our time together has been awesome! You opened up your vulnerable side, showing men everywhere that it's not okay to bottle it up! Despite your "Tin Man" facade, I see the enormous heart you carry..."
Lucinda went on to say that she was "incredibly proud" of Tim, pointing to his "true courage and authenticity".
"Too many men suffer in silence, and it's time we changed that paradigm," she continued. "We need to celebrate men who are open-hearted and willing to show their emotions. That's the new SEXY!"
Lucinda finished: "I believe in you, Timbo, and I know that a wonderful woman awaits you for a joyous journey ahead. Here whenever you need an ear."

Lucinda has since posted a selfie with Tim, sharing their post-show reunion with fans.
"Caught up with this divine hunk of spunk recently in Sydney," she said, before joking about them being "recent divorcees".
At least they remain good friends.
